One of the Best Lor Mee in the East - Fu Chun Lor Mee (Eunos Crescent)

Simply an orchestra of flavours in one bowl. The layers of flavour in the Savoury sauce with a tinge of Sweetness from a broth, a splash of Vinegar, the added dimensions of Spice with Garlic, Chinese Celery, Chilli Padi and Sambal attacking the different areas of your palate all at once! The sauce is full of Umami with a mix of Five Spices and Braise with a punch of Corn Starch to reduce its consistency.

In each bite, textures! Really a lighter hint of gooiness than most, enough to slurp each bite, but not too much to form a clump in your mouth; Smooth and springy noodles, with bites of Pork and a Crunch of freshly fried Fish.

The Fried Fish is one of the best battered fish I have ever had. A thin crispy batter, not too oily (but perhaps negated by the vinegar in the sauce), and a fresh full bite of local fish - unlikely Batang as a bowl is only $3.50! Perhaps that is why despite the relatively fast moving queues, it is always snaking until it is sold out.
