It is nestled in a corner, ready to host guests of the Wild Rice theaters. The youthful service is honest and sweet. We wouldn't mind returning, but hope more improvements would be made in perfecting their nonya dishes.
Nasi Ulam (8.9) was a first time I had heard or tried this classic Nonya herb rice. An assortment of different types of leaves from Betel, Kaffir Lime, Turmeric and mint leaves laid on the side. A tad strong for my liking, those who like Thunder Tea Rice may appreciate this.
Ayam Buah Keluak (19.9) was a tad oily, and the lack of colour reflected in lack in richness. Perhaps it did not have enough of the nut.
Sayur Lodeh (12.9) was nice but was not as authentic. Perhaps a bit too much coconut milk which made its consistency a tad thicker than normal.
The Ngoh Hiang (11.9) had its beancurd skin a tad too dry and the entire dish was overcooked. It was probably made worse by being sliced too thinly.
The apparent signature "All Star Popiah" (6.5) isn't that bad but the skin lacked luster or flavour.
The Emping Keropok (6.9) made from Belinjo wasn't that special.
