Sushi Daiwa - Toyosu, Tokyu

We were actually looking for Sushi Dai, and using our limited Chinese to read a “Big” on this signboard, and assuming from a long line - thought that this was the place. The queue was about 45mins to an hour. Yet it was the quickest Omakase ever - over in 15mins. We even bumped into Jeanette Aw who had emerged from the Kitchen as a guest.

For 4,000yen you get a selection of a number of choice pieces:
Ootoro, Chutoro, Aji Horse Mackerel, Ika Squid, Conger Eel, Hotate Scallops, Tiger Prawn, Uni, Tuna Nigiri, Tamago and a Clam miso to finish off.

In my opinion, I feel that there certainly is quality in the ingredients, again I didn't feel like there were any culinary skill or prowess involved in this creation. In fact, the rice was much warmer than the chilled slices. Would I return, even if i was residing in Tokyo? Nah. Probably just a tourist destination whilst you were at Toyosu.
