Etna Italian - Upper East Coast

The East is truly filled with foodies surprises. Little did I know that Etna in Duxton had a quaint and humble outlet in the Upper East Coast. We wondered why we made a reservation when we walked into an empty restaurant, but very quickly started to witness this little restaurant fill itself by 7pm. Full house.

Pesce dall’ Italia $68
The Wild Seabass was perfectly grilled, soft and flaky when it is served. Lightly but pleasantly seasoned. I’m not a fan of potatoes but these mini potatoes were delightful.

Ravioli all’ Aragosta $36
This doesn’t look like much for the price, but it is worth every dollar. A homemade lobster ravioli with butter pistachio cream and prawns. The cream is so rich and tasty, you will find yourself licking the plate but whatever bread they may be left.

Burrata di Andria 150g $28
Burrata cheese with Parma ham, cherry tomatoes and rocket salad

Gavi di Gavi, Batasiolo (Piedmont) $84
A 3.9 rating on Vivino, this bottle of red goes well with Lean Fish and Pastas. A clean and crisp dry wine thoroughly enjoyable.
