The Battle of the Curry Chicken Noodles

Everyone knows the famous rivalry between the two popular Curry Chicken Noodles of Hong Lim  Food Centre. Their flavours are distinct from each other, and favourites only boils down to personal preferences.

Ah Heng Curry Chicken Noodles
So personally I prefer the bowl from Ah Heng's, aka the stall upstairs. The chicken here is more plump and some may complain that its more fatty. The curry is milkier than downstairs, and creamier Laksa flavour. Its Tau Pok cooked less to have a softer bite.

Heng Kee Curry Chicken Noodles
This stall has no branches unlike Ah Heng, and the current owner is the next generation struggling to continue the legacy of his late father - working diligently to retain if not enhance the great flavours left behind.

His chicken is more lean, almost to a Kampung Chicken texture. As you can immediately see, his curry is richer and more intense - from the great pains he explained that he goes to just to prepare his chilli paste fortnightly.

However, they price much higher than Ah Heng, forcing you to pay $8 for a Thigh cut. And yet, you get a bowl of bones with little meat...
