Uma Uma Ramen @ Forum Orchard

Located on the first floor next to CoffeeBean, this is a simple 20 seater. When we arrived on a weekday lunch, it would have been barely 4 seatings. The noodles are pricier than average at $20, but the quality you'd get, I personally feel is quite worth it. Add $4 and you'll get a side and a non-alcoholic drink. 

I like how the Charsiu is grilled before it is added to soup. Thinly sliced without the porky aftertaste, it lends to the richness of the broth. But the Uma Uma Ramen comes with a dash of spicy Miso which really adds depth to the slurp. 

The noodles are firm with springiness and bite. The ramen eggs are well flavoured and 70% cooked. The choice of sides are the Charsiu, Gyoza, Chicken Karagge or Meat Balls. The Charsiu is the obvious choice. 

Almost an Umami, I'd definitely be back to eat here again.
