Hidden Gem - Khoon Kee Tasty Prawn Mee

There are several types of Prawn Mee in Singapore. And everything revolves around the Soup, and more specifically what type of prawns they choose to use. You can tell from the colour of the soup, ranging from dark brown to deep red. The darker brown soups will give you a savoury saltier flavour whilst the red ones are from the heavy roe from larger prawns.

Away from the draws of the crowds at Redhill market, only known to some of the discerning foodies, this has to be a hidden gem. So savoury their soup is, you have to restrain yourself to chug it all at a go.

The noodles with its special sambal chilli, garlic and fried shallots, and a dash of its broth, forming the base.
