Tai Liok Claypot Chicken Rice

A few stalls down from the famous Claypot Laksa, lies this stall ran buy an elderly couple and their son. For a min of $12, you get a huge pot of rice which I would say is good for 3 persons. Two of us couldn't finish this.

The Chicken is chunky and tender. The rice is grainy and fragrant, you will have to add alot of Black Sauce and Oil to it. Otherwise, you won't be able to taste much. Their salted fish though aren't the premium ones, which after soaking in the rice for a while, loses its fragrance.

What I like about this is the fact that they use two types of "Lap Cheong" waxed Chinese sausages. One the common red sweet ones, and the "Blood" sausages that are black in colour.

Still a 30min wait, but if you are looking for the best, I'd say Chinatown still holds the title albeit the hour long wait.
