Honolulu Cafe @ Centrepoint Orchard

I had never fancied the HK cafes here in Singapore. It is simply a franchised version of HK's Cha Chan Teng, offering you half hearted food a child would make. And this cafe is the worst of the lot! 

The place is located at a back corner of a now dead Centrepoint, the service is less than fantastic for such a small outlet, and the food apart from the pastries is horrible. And the only thing that taste fairly better, they hold you hostage by not allowing takeaways. Pirate Marketing... I wouldn't come here then. 

Honolulu Egg Tart ($1.70 each) 

The Egg Tarts are served warm, with a Crispy and Flaky Pastry. The Egg Custard is not Sweet and Smooth. The only thing that is worth your money. 

"Honolulu Pineapple Bun with Butter" @ Bo Lo Bun ($2 each)

This looked very good, so we ordered. The bun was average, to much like bread - not soft enough, and not enough butter. Perhaps they thought this would be compensated by the slab of butter inserted. Imperial Treasures would give you a far better Bo Lo Bun. 

Instant Noodles ($5.00)

Macaroni/ Spaghetti/Rice Noodle/Tossed Noodle (Dry)

Ham/Luncheon Meat/Beef/BBQ Pork/Egg/Chicken Steak/Pork Chop

Judging from the pictures here alone, you'd be able to gauge for yourselves. The soup is lifeless, and even a rim of oil is still visible.  

The Sunny Side Up is way overcooked, a few leaves of cabbage and a piece of carrot simply tossed in, and a slice of Luncheon Meat. 

Pork Chop Curry Rice $8.50 

(Chicken/Fish Fillet/Beef Brisket/Luncheon Meat/Sausage and Egg)

The Curry here is also lifeless, it lacks depth. Honestly, the premix you get from NTUC tastes far better than this! The Pork Chop has not even been tenderised, making it so hard to bite. They serve you in this small bowl, with minimal curry. Barely an experience I would wish on anyone else.
