Lin Heung Bakery - Dim Sum

My first experience at a Cha Chan Teng. It was even more traumatic having to lug our luggage into the crowded restaurant and fight for our own seats! After securing our seats and having seemingly grumpy uncles teaching us to push our luggage under the table for more space (they are so sweet), we awaited the trolleys! You never know what is going to come out! And the moment a new one pushes out of the kitchen, there is a mad dash for it! Clearly these are only the tourists… For the locals were simply reading their papers, draining their tea cups and refilling them. After a few attempts at the cart, two middle aged men gave us a cheeky advice, “call the elderly ladies pretty and you will get your order delivered to you”. After that tongue in cheek comment, we became friends. That generalized impression of frowning angsty Hong Kong people went right out the window.
