Nam Seng Wanton Mee [CLOSED]

I used to spend so much time at the National Library at Stamford Road. Combing the shelves for research. Yes there wasn't Siri or Google then. Neither were there smartphones with cameras to take snapshots of the Reference books. Hungry after an entire day, I would rush out to the S11 coffeeshop outside and order this simple Wanton Mee. Comfort food.

It so warming to know that this piece of my memory still exists, whereas the building has made way for a ERP toll gantry. Though she doesn't prepare the noodles anymore, she runs a tight shop taking the orders and making sure her Chinese staff doesn't slip up.

The noodles are different from the other popular variants out there. Not the tomato based ones of Binjai Park, nor the black sauce based ones of Simon road or Sixth Ave. This is more like the Kok Kee version that uses Salt, Oil, and Pepper. Granny Leong's noodles then to be a bit on the salty side, as well as the dumplings. But that is perfect to my taste buds.
