Fried Fish Dumplings Hor Fun @ Amoy St

Brought to Amoy St market during weekday lunch specially to try this dish. The queue was probably not as long as the Fish Soups but an average of 15-20mins.

When I had gotten my plate, I thought I was to be disappointed. It was just plain looking horfun in a standard mushroom sauce. Topped off with some fried dumpling. Nothing special. Tucking into the horfun, it was a cut above the rest. It was clean and balanced. Not too much oyster sauce, and not too thick. Just enough to slurp the silky horfun into your mouth.

The dumplings were like those of wantons. But instead of pork, it was fish paste. Crispy skin, and full of fish paste inside. Tasted really good.
