Nude Seafood - MBFC

Since Bibigo moved out, tenants at MBFC have been praying for a better replacement than its predecessor. Nude made a fairly quiet entry. When we stumbled into this place, they simply blew me away. Before even going into the food, the place was well laid out, with a clean fresh look to reflect the quality of their ingredients, a confident open kitchen to reveal how your food is being handled and prepared. The staff are friendly and cheerful looking. Even the bosses go round with humble attention paid to the customers at every point of their experience at Nude.

The Hickory-Smoked Salmon with Forgotten Grains ($16) is my favourite of the lot, for $16 compared to my normal thrifty $3 plate of Chicken Rice, was every bit worth the money for the quality of food they put in front of me each time. The fish smoked well with its aroma and flavours charred onto the outside whilst the Salmon's oils still intact. The Grains surrounding its Brown Rice base and a generous serving of Beetroot seemed too little for lunch at first, but managed to keep me sustained for a good portion of the afternoon.

They had recently added the Red Snapper ($18) onto their menu. This fish comes served after being Sous Vide if I am not wrong. It kept the texture and the firmness of the fish. You would like this dish if you are the type that does not like the flavour of your fish messed around too much.

The Miso-Grilled Chilean Bass ($22) with Quinoa was amazing! Everyone on the table took a bite from my plate and wished they had ordered this instead. I could have sworn that I was eating Cod! This is an amazing piece of fish (wished it could have been a tad bigger). The Quinoa was fine, but perhaps taking in too much of the seaweed's flavour made it a bit fishy. I didn't quite understood the cabbage though..
