Hakka Mee @ KL
Along the street of the Food Famous Jalan Alor of KL, when all the rest of the night hawkers are resting, I find this small inconspicuous noodle stall serves up the best version of what Singaporeans know to be Wanton Mee.
The noodles, in this case Mee Pok, was strained in perfect timing, to allow it texture and firmness but not rawness. The highlight is the Char Siew, the juiciest BBQ pork, using the fattier layers of the meat instead of the leaner version that Singaporeans are used too. Caramelised on the outside, but juicy and tasty once you bite into it.
