Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee @ Petaling Street, KL

This is Malaysia's version of the Hokkien Mee!
To de-construct it, this dish is essentially our "Fujian Noodles" which you find in Tze Char stalls here, but without the gravy.

However, this particular stall, which is perhaps one of the dingiest I've seen, has been rumoured to be around for a 100 years... It does look like it is true. But the noodles are amazing! If you are looking for an instant heart attack, this is the must-have dish. The amount of deep fried pork lard is this plate is more than the combined ingredients of cuttlefish and lean meat! But even if you are not a fan of lard, you can put it aside as it had already made a difference to the taste of the noodles.
