No Signboard - Geylang
I've always heard that it you want great crabs, you have to try the White Pepper Crabs from No Signboard, but not just anyone, but the Geylang main branch. It was unfortunate that they were barely busy this time round - due to the CoVid-19 outbreak. Service was great.
The prices on the menu were significantly higher than market rates. Take for example the Yam Basket, was close to $40 albeit filled with seafood instead of the usual Chicken and Cashews. That small plate of Spring Onion & Ginger Venison was over $30.
The Sambal Kangkong with Cuttlefish was tasty, a tad salty and lacking dried shrimps. The Honey Pork Ribs were mediocre at best...
The signature dish - White Pepper Crabs. The sauce was great, flavourful with Wok Hei - I'd just eat the Spring Onions with rice! The crabs were fresh and firm too. Unfortunately, the meat just couldn't absorb any of the sauce.
