Shen Ji Ji Fan (Chicken Rice)

Quite a hidden gem away from sight in the back of Tanglin Halt, away from the more known food centre for its Wanton Mee and Bee Hoon. It is tucked away in a corner coffeeshop as you turn in. 

The rice tastes old school with a stronger ginger flavour. Not as oily/buttery and grainy as Boon Tong Kee. Some dark soya sauce does the trick. Chilli is average.

However, the piece de resistance here is the Chicken! Silky smooth and firm meat, without the fatty deposits. Together with the douse of sesame oil and soya sauce.
