Ibu Oka 3 - Babi Guling in Ubud Bali

 The much acclaimed Babi Guling stall in Bali had to be visited. Jo was patient enough to accompany me through this quick lunch. Located just across the road from the Ubud Royal Palace, this place was busy but definitely not as packed. I hear it is because there are several outlets now... Ibu Oka is the name of the founder - "Ibu" or Mother, is the local prefix for respected women. 

I simply ordered the "Spesial", which included the works - Fried Chicken, Pork Skin and its Meat. It was so juicy and yet surprisingly lean! The skin wasn't as crispy... Perhaps because it was smoked in the morning, and by the time it gets to you, it had already lost its charm. Otherwise, it is a nice piece of meat, but nothing to jump about for.
